Who would say that hats save water?

Our journey to sustainable headwear also includes eco-friendly dyeing.

Dye Free cap green technology involves coloring the fabric by hot transfer without immersion in water, avoiding waste and the emission of dyes.

Conventional dye processes use super heated water mixed with dye stuffs and chemicals to infuse synthetic fibers with color. Approximately at least 11 liters of water are needed for each meter of dyed fabric. According to Global Efficiency Intelligence, on average, 100-150 liters of water are needed to process 1 kg of textile material and approximately 28 billion kilograms of textiles are dyed per year in the apparel industry worldwide using 5 trillion liters of water (2 million Olympic sized swimming pools.) For these reasons, dye free technology benefits are relevant: efficient use of waterminimized use of chemicals and reduced CO2 emissions.

But there’s more: since the color is inside the yarn, it’s permanent and it won’t fade with time.

In a few words, eco-friendly dyeing is not only greener, but also more beautiful.
